Task
- Review existing trade surveillance scenarios to identify areas for improvement, updates, or refinements
- Write scripts and perform statistical analyses to detect patterns and determine optimal threshold settings
- Analyze and visualize data to support decisions related to scenario re-calibration
- Test and validate re-calibrated scenarios to ensure accurate results and minimize false positives
- Maintain thorough documentation of the re-calibration process, including analyses, test cases, and validation outcomes
- Collaborate with internal teams and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the scenario re-calibration process, proposing improvements where needed
- University degree or equivalent education in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data analytics or data science
- Banking experience with a focus on non-financial risk (e.g., Compliance, Risk Management, Legal)
- Ideally, hands-on experience in trade surveillance
- Proficiency in programming, particularly Python
- Strong database programming skills (e.g., SQL)
- Experience in project management or business analysis
- Fluency in English (main business language); additional languages are an asset
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Open-minded team player with a proactive attitude
- Excellent presentation skills and high attention to detail
